Investigators in Florida are asking for help identifying a woman’s body that found in a burned porta-potty at a construction site in Florida.
The St. Johns County Fire and Rescue Department responded to the scene at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, the St. Johns County sheriff’s office said.
“We are asking anyone who may have a family member or friend who has not been heard from and may be missing to contact St. John’s County Sheriff’s Office and ask for The Major Crimes Unit,” the sheriff’s office told First Coast News.
Neighbors reported hearing a large boom and reported flames but said there was no one seen at the St. Augustine construction site before the fire.
An official at the sheriff’s office hypothesized that the woman may have been smoking inside the porta-potty and ignited fumes inside.
