Say What Now? Man Spends $1 Million on Strippers, Cocaine, and Cars After Bank Glitch Gives Him Unlimited Funds

What would you do if the bank made a serious error and suddenly you had unlimited cash at your disposal?

If you’re Luke Moore, you’d drop $1 million on cars, strippers, and cocaine.

That’s what the 29-year-old Aussie spent his cash on after a bank glitch gave him access to unlimited overdraft, the Daily Telegraph reports. To be fair, Moore did use some of that excess cash to make some payments on his home, but also amassed an impressive collection of cars, including an Aston Martin and a Maserati.

Eventually, the bank caught wind of its error, and Moore was thrown in jail on fraud charges. The good news is that Moore’s seven year sentence lasted just five months, following a successful appeal in the Supreme Court of New South Wales. So, what’s the bad news? Well, Moore may be free, but his life is a far cry from what it once was. He’s now broke, massively in debt, and living with his mother.

While Moore admitted that he misses “the cocaine, the strippers, and fast cars,” his ordeal taught him a valuable life lesson that money just cant buy. “Would I do it again?” Moore asked. “No. I enjoyed driving around in flash cars with no shirt, no shoes, and with the wind in my hair… I’ve had to give everything back… but I’m happier this way, as I’ve realized my family and friends are my biggest treasures.”

Just five months? Hopefully he stashed some of that money away for his return!
