A Florida man was killed on Thursday after being decapitated by a helicopter at an airport.

Hernando County Sheriff Al Nienhuis said that officials were called to Brooksville-Tampa Bay Regional Airport around 3:35 p.m. and found evidence of a “very serious aircraft accident.”
Salvatore Disi, 62, was in a power cart with another person trying to jumpstart the helicopter when it “suddenly jerked up and then came down,” the passenger told police, according to the sheriff’s office.
The main rotor blades then struck Disi in the head. He was killed instantly.
What a tragically awful way to go. RIP.
