Megan Thee Stallion made her ‘Saturday Night Live’ debut on Saturday and used the opportunity to deliver a powerful message.
For her first performance, Megan performed her hit single “Savage.”
As Meg worked the stage, the message “Protect Black Women” flashed across the screen behind her.
A message calling out Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron over his handling of the Breonna Taylor case closed things out — punctuated by gunshots.
“We need to protect our Black women and love our Black women because at the end of the day we need our Black women. We need to protect our Black men and love our Black me because at the end of the day we’re tired of seeing hashtags of our Black men,” Megan addressed the audience.
