If you couldn’t determine the vibe of Kelly Rowlands upcoming album from her latest single, “Kisses Down Low,” don’t worry. She told V-103 radio in Atlanta exactly what to expect from Talk A Good Game.
“I think it’s important for a lady to express that that’s the way it should be handled some times,” she told Big Tigger of V-103/Atlanta.
The album’s sensual feel caused her to re-think the title.
“I condensed it down to about 14 songs for this album,” she said. “It encouraged me to change the title. I was a lot more revealing, a lot more intimate. It’s called Talk A Good Game, now.”
In 2011, Kelly dove into after-hours music with the Lil-Wayne-assisted single, “Motivation.” She has since become a go-to featured artist, recently appearing on singles from Big Boi (“Mama Told Me”) andFuture (“Neva End”) at the same time.
With Talk A Good Game, Rowland promises to further push the envelope.
“After you hear this album and the songs, we are going to need another conversation,” she said. “You’re gonna have a lot of questions and I’m going to answer them all.”
