It looks like a lot of you love muffins were feeling a little frisky this weekend and decided to go see Fifty Shades of Grey — making the movie the highest grossing President’s Day weekend debut of all time.

The film brought in $81.7 million at the box office according to Sunday morning estimates, beating out the previous record-holder, Valentine’s Day, which opened to $56.3 million in 2010.

Fifty Shades is also the second best February debut ever behind Passion of the Christ. The irony.

We’ve heard some pretty mixed reviews about the film, but it’s definitely on our list of movies to check out this week. Did you see it? What did you think?
