Are you here for President Rock?
Dwayne Johnson isn’t letting the idea of a presidential run go away. In fact, he already has a slogan.
via NYDN:
“I think the ‘People’s President’ has a really nice ring to that. I’ll just say that,” the “Jumanji” star said during a panel at Stan Lee’s Los Angeles Comic Con Saturday.
Johnson, who is registered as an Independent, spoke at the 2000 Republican National Convention and attended the Democratic National Convention the same year.
In May, he said a campaign was “a real possibility.”
“Personally, I feel that if I were President, poise would be important. Leadership would be important. Taking responsibility for everybody. [If I didn’t agree with someone] on something, I wouldn’t shut them out. I would actually include them,” Johnson told GQ.
“The first thing we’d do is we’d come and sit down and we’d talk about it. It’s hard to categorize right now how I think he’s doing, other than to tell you how I would operate, what I would like to see.”
We love Dwayne — we do — but if we survive Trump, it might be best if we elect a politician with a deep understanding of proper government practices. Besides, how would he be president AND film ‘Fast and Furious’ 15?
