While Beyoncé & Jay Z spent their holiday trekking across the East, they took time out from their fabulous vacation to spread some holiday cheer to military troops serving in Kuwait and Afghanistan.
They aired a special screening of their On The Run tour — that came with a special message.
“I just want to say a big thank you to all of our troops for everything you do to keep our country safe,” said Beyoncé. “We all sleep better at night knowing that you guys are protecting us, and we’re filled with gratitude. So we wanted to do something special for you guys. We teamed up with our friends at the USO to do a private screening just for you guys of the ‘On the Run Tour.’”
And if uplifting spirits is what they were going for — mission accomplished.
“Watching the ‘On the Run’ concert made me forget I was in Afghanistan for the holidays…. thank you,” said SSGT Ferguson, who is stationed at Bagram Airfield.
How touching. Check out the footage below.
