Like the rest of us, Meghan McCain is questioning the legitimacy of George Floyd’s official autopsy results

The conservative firebrand from “The View” called on the Floyd family to have an independent examination of the unarmed black man who died Monday in Minneapolis after a cop knelt on his neck while Floyd was handcuffed and saying, “I can’t breathe.”
After seeing a tweet that a preliminary medical examiner’s report Friday cited “no physical findings that support a diagnosis of traumatic asphyxia or strangulation,” McCain smelled a rat.
“George Floyd’s family must demand an independent autopsy. I don’t know what kind of sh-t is attempting to be pulled here but we all know what we saw happen to George on video,” she tweeted in reply, using the expletive. “There is a deep, festering rot of corruption and Americans will NOT stand for this.”
Floyd’s family was way ahead of her.
Before any results were released and before fired cop Derek Chauvin, was charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter, the family had already tapped a former New York City medical examiner for an independent examination, family attorney Benjamin Crump said.
“We’ve just spoken recently with the district attorney. We’re going to take custody back of George Floyd’s body, and we’re bringing in Dr. Michael Baden to perform an independent autopsy because we saw in the Eric Garner case and so many other cases where they have these people who work with the city come up with things that are such an illusion,” Crump said during a press conference.
“They’re going to have their own autopsy,” Crump said of Floyd’s family. “We’re not going to rely on this DA or this city to tell us the truth. We already saw the truth.”
The four Minneapolis cops taking part in the bust — after Floyd allegedly committed the nonviolent act of using a counterfeit bill, were all fired — but only Chauvin has been arrested.
