Judge Sets Bond for George Zimmerman at $9,000; Will Be Forced to Wear Monitoring Device

George Zimmerman appeared in front of a judge today after being arrested earlier this week for a domestic violence incident involving his pregnant girlfriend. During the court proceedings, the prosecutor says Zimmerman’s girlfriend claimed he tried to choke her about a week earlier.

A Florida judge set George Zimmerman’s bond at $9,000 with conditions, one of which states he must wear an electronic monitoring device. Other conditions of his bond state he’s not allowed contact with his girlfriend, he’s not allowed to possess a weapon, and he’s not allowed to leave the state of Florida.

It’s not much, but at least it’s something.
