In related news, Camille Cosby has been ordered to testify at a deposition this month in a lawsuit brought by seven other women who have accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault.

“I find no merit in Mrs. Cosby’s arguments, and accordingly deny her motion in its entirety,” US Magistrate Judge David H. Hennessy said in the Dec. 31 ruling.

Camille, 71, had fought the deposition subpoena, insisting she shouldn’t have to testify against her husband. In documents filed Wednesday, her legal team also insisted she doesn’t have any first-hand knowledge of the alleged assaults — and didn’t procure pills for her husband.

But Hennessy wasn’t convinced, and Camille will have to testify at a deposition scheduled for Jan. 6.

“Mrs. Cosby’s dual role as defendant’s wife and business manager, render it at least plausible that Mrs. Cosby is in possession of information that ‘is relevant to any party’s claim or defense and proportional to the needs of the case,’” Hennessy wrote in the 12-page opinion.

Camille was subpoenaed as part of a defamation lawsuit against Cosby that was initially brought by Tamara Green. It now includes plaintiffs Therese Serignese, Linda Traitz, Louisa Moritz, Barbara Bowman, Joan Tarshis and Angela Leslie.
