Jay-Z paid tribute to Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington in his first show since the singer passed away by performing their “Numb/Encore” collab at England’s V Festival.
via NYDN:
The song is perhaps the most popular collaboration off “Collision Course,” the 2004 album that mashed up Jay-Z songs and Linkin Park songs. “Numb/Encore” won Best Rap/Sung Collaboration at the 2006 Grammy Awards.
“Please make some noise so he can he can hear you all the way in heaven tonight!” Jay-Z implored the crowd before launching into the hit single.
Bennington was found dead after he hanged himself between a bedroom and bathroom door in his Palos Verdes Estates home in Los Angeles on July 20.
