The TIME 100 gala for its 100 Most Influential People was held last night in New York City. Naturally, the event drew a multitude of big names, including this year’s recipients Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Laverne Cox and more.
Kanye and Kim were the talk of the night even before the event officially began thanks to Amy Schumer. The Comedy Central comedian faked a fall on the red carpet in front of the couple, and while Kim managed to muster up a slight laugh, Kanye was seemingly unamused.
Amy later caught up with the couple and told PEOPLE that “they were really sweet.”

Inside the event, Naomi Campbell danced and posed alongside Kim, Laverne and others, and Kanye ignited the stage with an art-infused 20-minute set, kicking things off with his latest single All Day.
