As recently reported, James Avery, better known to everyone as The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air‘s ‘Uncle Phil,’ passed away last week due to complications he suffered after his recent open-heart surgery.
While many of Avery’s industry colleagues and close friends have publicly mourned his passing, many of us wondered why Will Smith had yet to publicly acknowledge the loss of his longtime co-star.
Will Smith took to his Facebook page to express his grief. He posted the above photo of the former Fresh Prince Of Bel Air cast taken the last time they were all together, along with a touching caption.
“Some of my greatest lessons in Acting, Living and being a respectable human being came through James Avery. Every young man needs an Uncle Phil.
