Netflix released the first teaser for its original film Beasts of No Nation in July, and now it has finally released the first official trailer for the Cary Fukunaga-directed pic.
According to Variety, Beasts of a Nation “follows a young West African boy named Agu (Abraham Attah), who’s forced to join a unit of mercenary fighters when civil war tears his family apart. Elba plays an African warlord known as the Commandant, who attempts to transform Agu into a ruthless killer.”
The film will debut simultaneously on Netflix and in 19 Landmark Theatres on October 16, making Idris eligible for Oscar consideration.
