Terrible Timing: HBO to Discontinue HBO GO Streaming on All 2nd and 3rd Generation Apple TVs Starting April 30

If you’ve been enjoying HBO content on your 2nd or 3rd generation Apple TV while stuck under quarantine — your days of using HBO GO are numbered.

According to HBO GO support, HBO will discontinue streaming to all 2nd and 3rd generation Apple TVs beginning April 30, 2020.

Considering most people are at home and will be for quite some time with limited entertainment options, discontinuing the service for those devices during a pandemic doesn’t seem like the best option.
