Bhad Bhabie On People Accusing Her Of ‘Blackfishing’: You Are ‘Sick’ [Video]

Bhad Bhabie (Danielle Bregoli) faced backlash again over her recent Instagram post. The “Cash Me Outside” was accused of cultural appropriation after sharing a new video of her sporting darkening skin.

In the Instagram clip, which she uploaded on Monday, April 6, Bhad could be seen looking all glam in a black top that featured a plunging neckline and an open backside. She was playing her black wig. However, people noticed that her skin looked darker, prompting people to accuse the 17-year-old of trying to be black.

“How is this not blackface?” one user asked in the comment section, while someone added, “Umm I think that foundation is a little bit too dark on your face.” Referring to a term used when describing the use of makeup to appear black, one other user wrote, “Okay this is blackfishing now for sure.”

“She needs to quit culturally appropriating. It’s rough. I’m not the only one with this opinion,” another person chimed in. Meanwhile, one other sarcastically commented, “When did she become a whole other race.”

The conversation led to Bhabie’s name trending on Twitter. It didn’t take long for raptress to take to her social media account to address the issue. “Millions of people sick , thousands dying every day and y’all worried about me getting make up done for a photoshoot?” she clapped back on Instagram Stories, referring to 10,000 people in the U.S. who died from Coronavirus as of April 6.

She added, “I’m usually the wild one but y’all need to chill and focus on what’s important right now.”

This is not the first time for Bhadie to be slammed for alleged cultural apprpriation. Back in December, she landed in hot water for wearing box braids. “To all the black females that are saying my hair ain’t meant for box Braids guess the f**k what y’all hair ain’t meant to be straight but y’all glue whole wigs on to your heads and sew Brazilian/Indian/Peruvian hair which is anything like your natural hair texture at all and I don’t say a god damn thing neither do the other cultures that you get the hair from,” Bhabie fired back.

“And on top of that I’m not one of the ppl who has ever made fun of or said anything bad about girls with box braids or any type of braids. I completely agree that would b out of line and culture appropriation if I was trashing black girls for wearing braids hen getting them but that’s not the situation at all so leave me tf alone or imma start getting real disrespectful,” she continued.
