Word around Atlanta is that Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida both insist that Apollo is NOT guilty of the several federal charges he’s facing, including bank fraud and identity theft.

Despite proclaiming his innocence, he’s not ready to face the judge and defend it. Apollo filed a motion pleading with a federal judge to postpone his criminal hearing.

According to court documents filed on February 10, Nida has asked for “an extension of time up to and including March 25, 2014.”

The delay “will allow the parties sufficient time to discuss a potential resolution of this case,” such as a settlement, the documents explain.

Nida also wants more time to go over the government’s case against him before deciding whether to proceed with trial or accept some kind of a deal.

Apollo is facing several years in prison over allegations he was behind several false businesses set up to steal unsuspecting individuals’ identities to be used on various fraudulent loan applications and other purposes.

While Apollo’s wife Phaedra hasn’t been charged or named as of yet, she has been linked to several of Apollo’s business — including National Recovery Group, a debt collection agency very similar to the businesses that HAVE been named in the complaint.
