Watch: Shirley Caesar Reacts to #UNameIt Challenge, Sings a Live Version On-Air [Video]

If you’ve been on the Internet at all this week, there’s a good chance you can’t get “I got greens, beans, potatoes, tomatoes…” out of your head — and it’s all thanks to a viral clip of gospel singer Shirley Caesar.

The clip is a small part of an old Shirley performance of “Hold My Mule”

Shirley’s performance has inspired countless memes, remixes, dance videos and more!

In an interview with The Willie Moore Jr. Show, Shirley spoke about the response videos — and even did a live version of her viral hit.

“I was out in the middle of the ocean and one of the members of the church showed it to me,” Caesar said when asked if she’d heard the song. “I’ve been doing it for years.”

“I was so shocked to see them dancing and boogieing ,” she continued. “The Lord is so good to me.”
