Designer Olivier Rousteing and Rihanna go way back. He’s never been shy about his affinity for the singer. in a new interview with Alexa Chung during the Vogue Festival, Olivier compares Rih to ‘pop stars in the ’90s or ’80s’ and even says she’s the ‘new Madonna’, the ‘new Michael Jackson’, the ‘new David Bowie’ and the ‘new Prince’.
“What I love about these pop stars when it was ’90s or ’80s, they mixed menswear and womenswear and they did it pretty well,” said Olivier. “Rihanna is the same way. She mixes menswear and womenswear and [gives] it this power…it’s great for fashion to see those mix.”
