It’s not like we haven’t known for months that Empire stars Grace Gealey and Trai Byers are engaged, but now we’re finally hearing it straight from the source.
Grace confirmed the news to Tyra Banks while appearing on her new talk show, FABLife.
“I’m engaged,” she told Tyra and the other panelists during Tuesday’s episode.
Grace also explained why her relationship with Trai works, despite the fact they’re sleeping where they eat.
“I think that if you do get involved… at your workplace, you have to know that this is something that you want to be invested in and this is not something that is frivolous and fleeting,” she said. “And to have the maturity to know that if this doesn’t work out, you’re not going to throw staplers at the other person.”
