Watch: Aretha Franklin Covers ‘Purple Rain’ at the White House [Video]

Aretha Franklin paid tribute to Prince on Friday during the 2016 All-Star Global Concert at the White House, hosted by President Barack Obama.

The concert celebrated a wide range of jazz artists and pianists from across the nation. Morgan Freeman emceed the event that featured artists including Herbie Hancock, Sting, Esperanza Spalding and of course Aretha Franklin.

Aretha participated in the evening’s tribute to Prince by covering his hit “Purple Rain.”
