The Weeknd’s ‘Starboy’ Projected to Sell Nearly 400,000 Copies First Week

The Weeknd’s ‘Starboy’ is headed for No. 1 on the Billboard 200 next week with estimated sales between 350,000 and 400,000.

XO/Republic’s The Weeknd will score an overwhelming #1 on next week’s charts, with streaming expected to be somewhere between very, very big and astronomical. The man behind Starboy just had a huge Fallon look, is being aggressively touted by Spotify, did a Beats 1 interview with Zane Lowe, owns the iTunes slowcase (his album is #1 and its title track #2 in the store) and, for all we know, will be coming over to your house to sing Christmas carols with your relatives.

Good for him.
