Another great supporter for President Obama, singer Katy Perry, attended the Inauguration today with boyfriend John Mayer looking very casual but extremely chic. Katy wore a striped Rodarte coat accented with leather and shearling from the designer’s Fall 2012 collection; underneath was a colorful, collared, print dress and Katy accessorized with a floppy black fedora, a cute wine & pink colored satchel purse and finished the look with long black stiletto boots.
Earlier this morning, Katy tweeted a picture holding a small silver hat with the words “Big Inauguration, tiny Aretha Hat” referring to the hat Aretha Franklin wore during her 2009 inaugural performance of The National Anthem. Katy had her own small version she carried…for sentimental purposes we guess.
