Less than two weeks ago, rumors circulated online that R&B Divas: Atlanta had been cancelled.
Although TV One had yet to confirm its cancellation, cast members reportedly were told that the show would not be returning for another season.
Now executive producer Phil Thorton is firing back at reports that the show has bitten the dust.
According to theJasmineBRAND.com, Thorton had the following to say about cancellation rumors surrounding R&B Divas: Atlanta:
“‘R&B Divas: Atlanta’ has not been cancelled. There has been no definitive decision made by the network. Yeah, contracts have expired. We have not renewed any of the cast contracts. That’s no secret. We’re in discussions now, but the show is absolutely not cancelled. I was on the phone with the network today and the show is absolutely not cancelled.”
If the show is brought back, there’s a chance it will experience a cast overhaul, but once we have a definitive answer regarding the show’s future, we’ll be sure to update you.
