Starz Developing a Drama Based on ‘Pussy Valley’ By Award-Winning Playwright Katori Hall, Holding an Open Casting Call for Actresses and Dancers

Starz has a new drama series in the works from award-winning Black playwright Katori Hall.

The series is based on Katori’s play titled ‘Pussy Valley,’ a gritty drama set at a strip club in the Mississippi Delta. Katori is serving as the showrunner and executive producer while Patrik-Ian Polk (who just wrapped production on the ‘Being Mary Jane’ series finale airing in October) will serve as co-executive producer.

We’re hearing Katori is hoping to keep the play’s original title for the series, but at this point they’re not sure what the show will be called.  ‘Pussy Valley’ sounds like something we’d definitely watch though!

Anyway, the show is in production and they’re looking for actresses (experienced and those with raw talent) as well as dancers from the strip club world to come out and audition.
