After promoting Gabourey Sidibe and Ta’Rhonda Jones to series regulars this spring, Empire has promoted another season one recurring character to series regular status for season two.
Serayah, who plays pop star Tiana on the hit FOX series, will have a much larger role come September 23.
The news of Serayah’s promotion comes as no surprise (somewhat); she features in several season two promotional clips and performed with Jussie Smollett and Bryshere “Yazz” Gray at this year’s BET Awards.
