A 16-year-old high school student in Milwaukee was arrested after he repeatedly punched a teacher in the head in class Tuesday morning.
In the video, the student can be seen following the teacher around his classroom at South Division High School before assaulting him.
via NYDN:
The student was arrested at the school and faces possible battery charges, police said. The Milwaukee County District Office will review the case.
The teacher suffered nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.
A Milwaukee Public School spokesman told FOX6 that the district is cooperating with police in the investigation.
A motive for the encounter is unknown.
Milwaukee Alderman Bob Donovan condemned the incident.
“Violence at MPS is a great concern to the community. Actions like this need criminal charges to send a message, and hold the student responsible for their reckless and dangerous behavior,” he said in a statement to the station.
