Say What Now? Bill O’Reilly Says Slaves Who Built the White House Were ‘Well Fed and Had Decent Lodgings’ [Video]

Bill O’Reilly defended the use of slaves for building the White House in an attempt to fact-check Michelle Obama’s riveting speech at the DNC.

While he admitted the First Lady was correct in saying slaves built the White House, O’Reilly contested:

“Slaves that worked there were well fed and had decent lodgings provided by the government, which stopped hiring slave labor in 1802.”

He went on to argue that other people — including ‘free Blacks’ helped with the construction of the building.

Did he really just try to justify the working conditions of slave labor? He did. Watch below.
