Last night, a ‘Disco Africa’ themed Halloween took place and several Italian fashion insiders, including designer Allesandro Dell’Acqua, came in blackface. Not the ‘unintentionally racist’ blackface that we’ve seen lately — but true exaggerated feature-having blackface.
Here’s Dell’Acqua above posing below with Stefano Gabbana (of Dolce & Gabbana) and Juan Fran Sierra.
The whole event was captured by Russian photographer Zhanna Romashka, who posted a ton of pictures from the party on her blog OnlyStylishPeople.it.
In case you were wondering, there was at least one black person at the party (below). We wonder how he felt?
