Oprah Winfrey Explains Why OWN Will NOT Be Picking Up ‘Underground’: ‘It Doesn’t Have the Ratings to Justify $5 Million an Episode’

For those of you hoping the now-cancelled ‘Underground’ would find a home on the Oprah Winfrey Network, we’re sorry to say that won’t be happening.

Speaking with Soraya McDonald, a culture critic for The Undefeated, Oprah says that the show is just too expensive to produce for the lackluster viewership it receives.
