Nicki Minaj’s Husband Kenneth Petty Pleads With Court To Change Release Terms In Criminal Case

Nicki Minaj’s husband Kenneth Petty pleaded with a judge to modify the terms of his release from prison in his criminal case.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Petty recently asked prosecutors to modify the conditions of him being out on bond.

The United States Attorney’s Office agreed to remove the verbiage stating, “Do Not possess or have any access to, in the home, the workplace, or any other location, any device that offers internet access except as approved by Supervising Agency.”

Petty lives with Minaj in a Beverly Hills mansion which is probably equipped with computers and phones with internet access. The court signed off on the modification of his release which means Petty can be around computers with the internet without being found in violation of the court order.

As The Blast previously reported, Petty was indicted in federal court for failing to register as a sex offender in California. In 1995, Petty was convicted of first-degree attempted rape and was required to register when he moved to a different state.

Petty moved to California with Minaj in July 2019. The Feds recently became aware of him not registering as a sex offender and hit him with criminal charges. The feds arrested Petty and took him back into custody. He entered a plea of not guilty to all charges and was released on $100,000 bond.

Per the terms of his release, Petty was ordered to wear an ankle monitor while out, surrender his passport and stay away from drugs, drinking and weed. Petty is prohibited from possessing guns, contacting any witnesses in the case and has to submit to random drug testing.

Following his release from prison, Petty finally registered as a sex offender in California and took a new mug shot.

If convicted, Petty is facing 10 years in prison on the charges.
