Nick Cannon says he won’t be returning to NBC’s ‘America’s Got Talent’ after network execs considered firing him over a racial joke he told in his comedy special.
Last week, it was reported that Nick told a joke during his Showtime special about NBC not wanting him to use the N-word. Nick also suggested that the network limits his comedic freedom.
The joke pissed of the people in charge at NBC who ultimately threatened him with termination.
In an open letter posted to Facebook, Nick says that he won’t be ‘silenced, controlled, or treated like a piece of property’ and therefore won’t be returning to AGT.
