Netflix Premieres the Trailer for Its New Series ‘The Get Down’ Starring Shameik Moore & Jaden Smith [Video]

Netflix has released the first trailer for its upcoming music drama series The Get Down.

Created by Baz Luhrmann (Romeo + Juliet, Moulin Rouge, The Great Gatsby), The Get Down follows an untidy group of South Bronx teenagers who turn to music and each other to survive 1970s New York.

The Get Down, which is scheduled for release at some point this year, stars Jaden Smith as Marcus “Dizzee” Kipling, a talented and enigmatic graffiti writer, Shameik Moore (Dope), Justice Smith (Paper Towns) and more.
