Loop: The Modern Version of The Milk Man

Imagine walking into your local market and shopping in the Loop – package free isle. Instead of purchasing items in plastic containers that could eventually end up polluting our oceans, you can purchase your favorite items in a re-usable container with ease. The goal is to promote reduce, re-use, recycle.

In 2015, we consumed 34.5 million tons of plastic waste in the US, less than 10% was recycled. There are approximately 150 million tons of plastic in the worlds oceans.

“Recycling is a failing industry. Reuse is 50-75% better for the environment,” Tom Szaky, Terracylce CEO, tells CNN Business.

Loop may be the answer to our recycling and plastic woes, it allows consumers to order items online and have them delivered in reusable containers, that are picked up after use, washed and re-used for future orders. Eliminating wasteful plastic, moving toward a new future of consumption.

Loop has partnered with major consumer product companies P&G, Mars, Pepsico, Unilever, Nestle, and SC Johnson to name a few. The re-use company will be an engine for retailers and brands to offer a new model of packaging.

Loop will launch Spring 2019 going live in Northeast US (New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware) and Paris to start, with plans to expand globally, it will begin as an ecommerce engine for brands and move into retail stores by the end of 2019.
