Did you guys catch Lil’ Mama performing “Waterfalls” alongside T-Boz and Chilli on the American Music Awards last night?
No, she didn’t run up on stage like she did during Jay Z and Alicia Keys performance at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.
They were introduced as TLC with special guest, Lil’ Mama.
Was this her official coming out performance as a new member of the group?
There were rumors swirling around for a while that Lil’ Mama was going to join Tionne and Rozanda as an official member of the group but, the ladies confirmed that they weren’t going to replace Lisa. However, Lil’ Mama does appear on the group’s upcoming album.
When CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story aired she received a lot of praise for her performance as “Left Eye” with people saying the resemblance was amazing and the rumors of her joining the group started up again.
This could be a great look for the former “America’s Best Dance Crew” judge who is also currently working on a reality show with MC Lyte. It could also backfire and anger TLC fans around the world.
