Lifetime Casts Newcomers Chattrisse Dolabaille and Izaak Smith as Missy Elliott & Timbaland in Upcoming Aaliyah Biopic [Photos]

Now that Lifetime has gotten the lead role of Aaliyah casting out of the way, the network tells The Wrap that they’ve also chosen who will be playing Aaliyah’s longtime friends and mentors Missy Elliott and Timbaland in their upcoming biopic Aaliyah: Princess of R&B.

Newcomers Chattrisse Dolabaille and Izaak Smith will be portraying producer-rappers Missy Elliott and Timbaland, respectively.

Chattrisse Dolabaille brand new to Hollywood. She’s a Canadian actress, singer and dancer.

You may recognize Izaak Smith from So You Think You Can Dance Canada or his appearance in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.

Considering we really know nothing about either one of these actors, it’s hard to have an opinion at this time. We just hope Ms. Co-Executive Producer Wendy Williams knows what she’s doing…
