Kim, Kourtney, and Khloé Kardashian Visit Planned Parenthood: ‘They Are Such an Amazing Place That Provides So Much’ [Photo]

Kim, Kourtney and Khloé Kardashian spent some time at a Los Angeles-area Planned Parenthood clinic in a show of support (and yes, the cameras were rolling).

As you may or may not know, Planned Parenthood stands to learn major federal funding if the Senate approves the House of Representatives’ healthcare reform bill.

“My sisters and I visited Planned Parenthood recently and learned that the House of Representatives forced through a bill that strips health care coverage from millions of people and raises health care costs, including Planned Parenthood patients,” Kim wrote on Instagram. “They are such an amazing place that provides so much to so many! #istandwithpp.”

Khloé followed-up with a caption of her own:

“Visited @PPLosAngeles yesterday and learned so much. 2.5MM rely on PP for care -birth control, cancer-screenings, STD testing and so much more! #IStandWithPP.”

Republicans generally oppose federal funding for Planned Parenthood because the clinics offer abortions, which goes against conservative Christian beliefs.

However, the money Planned Parenthood receives from the government cannot be used for abortions — according to federal law. With the government set to cutting Planned Parenthood’s federal funding, about 2.5 million people will be prevented from obtaining basic health services.

Kudos to the Kardashians for raising awareness. Let’s hope that visit came with a donation!
