Kim Kardashian’s KKW Beauty line is set to rake in some serious cash — really fast.
Back in April, Kim tested out the demand for her own makeup line with a capsule lip kit collection in collaboration with sister Kylie. According to Women’s Wear Daily, the 300,000 KKW x Kylie Lip Kits, which each retailed for $45, sold out in minutes, resulting in $13.5 million in sales.
If you apply that figure to the 300,000 contour kits she’s set to release on Wednesday as the first product in her KKW Beauty collection, at $48 a piece she will have racked up $14.4 million in sales in just a few minutes.
We’re not mad at the hustle! While we were a little surprised to see Kim entering the makeup market while her little sister is currently so much success, she says that there won’t be any overlap in what they’re offering.
“I am older than Kylie,” Kim said in an exclusive interview with WWD. “We definitely have a different audience. We do have a lot of similar things — but we aren’t doing the same products, so we won’t run into that overlap. We’re really cautious of that. We work together to make sure that we don’t overlap like that.”
