Kim Kardashian isn’t too fond of fake friends. The new mother shared the above picture of a gift from Barney’s New York sent by Katie Couric along with the caption:

This comes after Katie Couric admitted to InTouch that she doesn’t quite understand the Kardashian phenomenon.

“I don’t understand – why are they so famous? I think it’s mostly teenage girls that are interested.”

Update: In response to Kim K’s social media slam, Katie Couric has released the following statement:

“I’ve met Kim before and I think she’s a really sweet person,” Couric said in a statement to Us. “I was responding to a reporter’s question, and explaining how I’m intrigued by the public’s fascination with her family. I didn’t mean to hurt her feelings. The gift is genuine, and I’m happy for Kim and Kanye.”
