Katy Perry Beats Taylor Swift as 2015’s Highest Paid Musician — According to Forbes

Katy Perry is 2015’s highest-earning woman in music, according to Forbes.

Katy made $135 million this year, after grossing more than $2 million per city during 126 shows on ther Prismatic World Tour. She also raked in cash from contracts with the beauty companies Covergirl and Coty and the fashion retailer Claire’s.

“I am proud of my position as a boss, as a person that runs my own company,” Katy told the magazine. “I’m an entrepreneur … I don’t want to shy away from it. I actually want to kind of grab it by its balls.”

Taylor Swift landed right behind Katy with a cool $80 million earned from her 1989 album sales and it’s accompanying tour.

In third and fourth place were Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie, the two female members of Fleetwood Mac, closely followed by Lady Gaga and Beyoncé.

As far as that report suggesting Taylor Swift is the highest-paid woman in entertainment, it appears as though someone either got it wrong or it was Taylor’s camp trying to start a wave.
