Jennifer Lopez Says Ben Affleck Was Her First Big Heartbreak

Jennifer Lopez was married twice before dating and later getting engaged to Ben Affleck — but she didn’t know the devastation of heartbreak until they broke up in 2004.

In an interview with Maria Shriver about her new memoir, True Love, Jennifer opened up about her “Bennifer” past.

 “It was probably my first big heartbreak, and to have one of my best friends [Marc Anthony]who I’d known for years, who I actually love and did have chemistry with, come into my life and say, ‘I’m here’…What you need to know is, nobody can save you or heal you,” she continued. “Only you can do that for you.”

Jennifer’s memoir True Love hits stores on November 4th.
