Although American Idol will come to an end next year, Jennifer Lopez will remain a television staple.
The 46-year-old mother of two will star in the NBC crime drama series Shades of Blue, which is set to premiere on January 7 at 10 p.m.
In the series, Jennifer plays Harlee Santos, a New York detective and single mother. When she gets caught up in an anti-corruption probe, she’s forced to spy on her coworkers, thus creating conflict with her boss (played by Ray Liotta), who believes there is a rat on his team.
