Ja Rule Says He’s Tired of Being Famous and Wants to be a Recluse…While Promoting His New MTV Reality Show

Ja Rule wants to have his cake and eat it too, apparently.

In a new interview with GQ, the raper-turned-reality-star says that he’s ready to ‘disappear’ and become a ‘recluse’.

A few minutes before, Ja Rule gave me his rundown on his own fame in an elevator that was filled with five people (Ja Rule, his MTV rep, two chic strangers, and me). He turned to me, unprompted, and said, “I’m getting weirder as I get older. I just want to be a recluse, I want to disappear. I mean, I am doing a reality show…” He trailed off and then started up again, quickly: “I used to love being famous, it was the dopest, funnest thing. Not anymore.”
