Oscar Award-Winning Actress Lupita Nyong’o made her mark in the style arena as she made her entrance onto the 2014 Met Gala red carpet wearing a custom Prada netted and feathered, jewel adorned dress with a chocolate tone slip underneath.
Just add a jewel encrusted headband to match, Prada shoes, a clutch… and voila! You have the fashion fearless Lupita that we have all come to adore.
The style choice was definitely a fun look and very different from what we have seen from the beauty. Lupita spoke with Vogue’s André Leon Talley, and told him that she called the dress the “taxi dress” which is a creation by this year’s Met Gala honoree, Charles James.
James’ “Taxi Dress” was designed so that a woman could easily change into it in a cab while you were en route to a party.
