First Lady Michelle Obama, Jada Pinkett Smith & More Attend ‘Black Girls Rock!’ [Photos]

Black Girls Rock! returns with hosts Tracee Ellis Ross and Regina King next Sunday, but the stars gathered in Newark, New Jersey, last night to celebrate dynamic black women who continue to excel in their chosen sphere.

First Lady Michelle Obama was on hand to present Chental-Song Bembry with the Make a Difference Award, while Janelle Monae, Selma‘s Ava DuVernay and Jada Pinkett Smith were also honored during the ceremony.

Jill Scott and Ciara were among the musical guests to hit the stage.

Will Smith, Faith Evans and more also attended the event. Check out a dozen or so photos below.
