Kanye West may have appeared to be joking when he stormed the stage and quickly backed off during Beck’s Album of the Year acceptance speech, but his post-Grammy interview with E! News let us know he was anything but.
While Kim Kardashian looked on nervously, Kanye told E! News reporters that he felt Beck should’ve handed over his trophy to Beyoncé.
He also warned Grammy organizers that artists like himself would no longer accept having art “diminished.”
“We ain’t gonna play with them no more. Beck needs to respect artistry, and he should have given his award to Beyoncé. At this point, we’re tired of it because what happens is, you keep on diminishing art and not respecting the craft and smacking people in the face after they deliver monumental music. You are disrespectful to inspiration.“

Although Kim looked on nervously as Kanye ranted backstage to reporters, she partially echoed his sentiments, agreeing that Album of the Year should’ve been awarded to Beyoncé.
Kim shared the following selfie on Instagram.
Even Beck felt that Beyoncé was going to win and made sure to add that he has no hard feelings towards Kanye.
“Absolutely I thought she was going to win. You can’t please everybody. I still love him and think he’s genius. I aspire to what he does. How many great records has he put out in the last five years right?“
