Demi Moore has released a statement following news that a 21-year-old man was found dead in the pool at her Los Angeles home.
“I am in absolute shock. I was out of the country traveling to meet my daughters for a birthday celebration when I got the devastating news,” Moore said in a statement to EW. “The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy and my heart goes out to this young man’s family and friends. I ask that you please respect the privacy of all concerned during this sensitive time.”
Her statement comes after it was reported early Sunday that a 21-year-old man was found dead at the bottom of her pool. Authorities have ruled the death an accidental drowning and say the man slipped and fell during a party thrown by the person watching after Demi’s home. A total of five people were present at Moore’s home at the time — Demi and her children were not.
