Walmart is pulling a Black Lives Matter shirt from stores after the Fraternal Order of Police asked them to remove the t-shirts and sweatshirts.
The shirts say “Black Lives Matter” underneath red letters that say “bulletproof.”
FOP President Chuck Canterbury wrote to the retailer asking them to remove the “offensive t-shirts and sweatshirts.”
“I urge you to prohibit the use of the Walmart name and website for the retail sale of these products,” he wrote in a letter.
“I am concerned that allowing these articles to be sold in this way will damage your company’s good name amongst FOP members and other active and retired law enforcement officers,” he also wrote.
The FOP also reportedly sent a similar letter to Amazon Wednesday. You can read it in its entirety below.
