He’s not a businessman; he’s a business, man.
Music’s biggest stars are uniting as one and throwing their support behind Jay Z’s new business venture Tidal.
Tidal, the high-definition music streaming service Jay Z recently purchased for $56 million, hopes to eventually surpass its competitor Spotify and exponentially improve artist payout in the process.
According to its site, Tidal will feature “the best high fidelity sound quality, high definition music videos and expertly curated editorial.”
Beyoncé, Rihanna, Kanye West, Madonna, Arcade Fire, Coldplay, Daft Punk, Usher, Nicki Minaj and more have all shown their support by changing their Twitter/Facebook profile photos to cyan blue.
Taylor Swift has already uploaded her previous albums to Tidal.
At 5 p.m. today, Jay Z will conduct a special announcement in New York, which will be streamed on Tidal’s website.
